Rain, Snow, and Spring!

So Monday this week I took pictures of blossoming flowers and trees in the neighborhood and on Tuesday it was rain, and yesterday and today SNOW! What is Utah thinking? How are we going to enjoy easter egg hunts in the snow? Anyway, needless to say Lily and I are getting Cabin Fever, or is it Spring Fever? There is only so much lounging and snuggling with blankeys we can do.

So this week my mom and brothers have been in town from AZ and we've had so much fun! A few highlights include ice cream at Leatherbee's (A family favorite), Bowling at Fat Cats, Going to a Luau to see Sheryl dance, making Lily's tutu (thanks to my mom), and just playing around.

Campfire Fun

So on Friday night Chad, Lily, and I were invited to go to a campfire with the Earnests (Aaron, Rachel, Brody, Sarah, "Peanut", Luke, John, Julie, Michael, Joseph, and Aubrey). We met at Aaron's and enjoyed some hot dinner (Wendy's) and some playing in the yard, then we headed off for an adventure in the mountains. Well, the mountains ended up being a rocky pit off the main road, which we had to go "off-roading" to find. Nevertheless, it was so fun to get out and enjoy the beautiful springtime weather and enjoy some great company! The guys (with the help of fireman John) started a fire and we ate some s'mores. I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but the two oldest of Aaron and Rachel's kids were brave enough to climb a rather large hill, and then slide all the way down. SO much fun, and Lily loved sitting in her own little camp chair.

Good Days

So the weather this week has been unbelievable and I'm sooo excited that spring is here! Yesterday we went to lunch for my friend Leslie's Birthday with Nicolle and Baby Kennedy, and Raylene and Sky, then visited Sheryl who was overjoyed to see her best friend, Lily I mean not me. Lily showed Sheryl all her new tricks including blowing kisses, saying hi, and walking all over the place. Then today after taking a long nap, the two of us went to the park with my friend Suzanne and her 3 year old twins Evan and Kenna and her 15 month old Liam. Lily had a blast going down the big slide with mom, but was still terrified of the swings. I don't get it because she used to love them but for the past few tries she freaks out until I take her out. Here are a few pictures of the past couple of days because I can never resist taking pics of my girl. Oh and just for fun we tried last summer's swimsuit on Lily and it still fit, but she was too busy looking at the cat in our backyard to smile for pictures.

Sunday Afternoon

Today the sun is shining, it is in the 50's, and I am so ready for spring. Chad taught a great lesson in Priesthood today, I know because several men in the ward told me so, and Lily and I had fun in Nursery (even though she's not 18 months yet, it's better than roaming the halls). After church, which is now across the street in our family ward which we really love, Chad and Lily walked home and our next door neighbor Jade (one of Lily's favorite people) who is five jumped out of her parents van to walk the rest of the way with them, to which Lily upon seeing her lit up and said enthusiastically quite a few times "Hi!". Chad then took a nap, Lily and I played outside and made apple struesel muffins together. What a fantastic day to reflect upon all the blessings I have around me.

Raquel Allen Photography

Yesterday my friend Angie and I were asked to take some more pictures for the Mommy Cover and I brought Lily along, since Chad was golfing. After the shoot, the photographer Raquel Allen said as a thank you she would take some photos of us. It was really windy and cold so Lily didn't last long but she found some dried berries on the ground and kept sneaking them into her mouth so that kept her occupied, until I found them and then she wasn't too happy with me. It was pretty fun and we were at this cool little ampatheater which I never even knew exhisted. I'm sure you all are getting sick of all the pictures I put up but if you were you probably wouldn't keep checking the site. Raquel did a great job though so I wanted so show off her work. Her site is pretty cool too, www.raquelallenphotography.com

J/K All the other s except the first one are my friends so you can see their cute pics too.

Sorry, more Pictures of Lily girl

Lily's first pigtails

Okay, so this might seem a little trivial but for me a huge milestone today, we now have enough hair for two pigtails! And, so of course I included a picture so you could see how cute she looks. Ahh, she is growing up so fast.

Lily at the Baby Expo on Friday

We went to the Baby Expo on Friday and got this picture taken there. It was fun to see some new baby products including the potty watch, monster spray, and hider nursing cover. We went with Kelly & Kylee, Ashley & Kamay, Kelsey & Bella, Angie & Ethan, and Janiea & Cade. A week ago when we were eating lunch at Bajio, the creator of the Mommy Cover took our pictures ing the item and is now using them on her website. That same lunch we saw Elder Oaks too! Fun stuff.

What's new today

So right now we have a sick house, with the cold season finally catching up to us we're a little under the weather today, but I'm sure be all better soon. Lily is 13 months old now and is getting so smart. Yesterday we went outside to explore the backyard and she 'discovered' many new rocks and plantlife, none of which (according to mom) were edible. After making sure she stomped on everypart of the snow she could see, she was ready to get warm again inside. She is getting so much better at walking now and loves to roam free around the house, until I come and find her getting into something she shouldn't, her most recent favorite finds, the toilet water, snacks in her diaper bag, my magazines, and all the paper in the printer. It sure is crazy keeping up with a toddler, but we are loving it!
