Swing, glorious swing!

If I were a poet, I would write odes and sonnets dedicated to you baby swing, but I'm not but I will just say THANK YOU for the following:
-being only $10.00 at a garage sale
-folding up easily so I can take you anywhere and everywhere
-being the only thing that Lily would sleep in for the first 4 weeks of her life
-taking all the abuse a 2 year old can weild, and entertaining her for a while
-letting me blog, and email during Lily's naptime
-providing a different point of view for a baby to look at the world in
-running through 2 babies, and thousands of hours on the same set of D batteries
-so much more but I don't want you to be embarrassed because you're such a humble thing

Ahhh the JOY of the sound of that car pulling into the garage, and Chad comes in to shower the girls with attention and playing. I get a much needed breather, and they get tickled, danced with, read to, and chased. I think the look on their faces says it all.

Binkey Fairy Skirts

So I'm not sure if I told how Lily FINALLY gave up her binkies, so here it is. We were trying to get her to gather them up and put them in mailbox so that the 'binky fairy' could come bring her a special prize and take her binkies to the little babies who needed them. We got close a couple of times; like had the ziplock in hand on the way outside and she freaked, then we had them in the mailbox and I thought we were home-free but then when dad came home that night she wanted to show him and then had second thoughts and took them back out. Well finally, we had gotten down to her last binky (I have since found 2 more but threw them away before she found them) and we went out for the day, and when we came home we searched and searched but the final binky was no where to be found so we said, "Oh it looks like the binky fairy came by and grabbed your bink for the little babies and tonight while you're asleep she will leave your special prize in your room. Lucky for us my mom had already made Lily pink, blue and purple princess dress-up skirts, so we pulled those out and set them up in her room. Well she woke up LOVED the dress-ups and has been fine ever since. Sometimes she still asks about them but after I remind her about her trade for the skirts she is just fine.

These cute kids were so fun to watch play together! Liam was the girls' prince and he would 'go to work' in the little car, Lily tried to get everyone to dance and follow her directions, and Kylie was making everyone meals from the kitchen.
