Love Songs

So... I never listen to country music anymore, I used to a lot like 5th-9th grades. But tonight I was driving home after running a quick errand and just scanning the stations and happened to stop on a country one. Now, I don't know if I'm still just getting baby hormones out of my body but I just start crying when I take a second and listen to these beautiful lyrics. The first song was a Trace Adkins song called "you're gonna miss this" about a girl who just cant wait until the next phase of her life is starting and she's always looking forward, but people who are older and wiser keep reminding her to enjoy where she is right then, because someday she'll look back and miss that time. I feel like this is such a great time of my life right now. It's hard and I never have a minute for myself to do somethings I want to do, but I love it. I love the crazy, chaotic, mundane, busy, early days that I am sharing with my little family and when I get discouraged I try to just really remember the same message of this song, that I will miss this so I need to live in the moment and love it as much as I can. Here are the words and song because I want to remember them :

She was staring out that window, of that SUV
Complaining, saying I can't wait to turn 18
She said I'll make my own money, and I'll make my own rules
Mamma put the car in park out there in front of the school
Then she kissed her head and said I was just like you

You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this

Before she knows it she's a brand new bride
In a one-bedroom apartment, and her daddy stops by
He tells her It's a nice place
She says It'll do for now
Starts talking about babies and buying a house
Daddy shakes his head and says Baby just slow down

'Cause You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this

Five years later there's a plumber workin' on the water heater
Dog's barkin', phone's ringin'
One kid's cryin', one kid's screamin'
She keeps apologizin'
He says they don't bother me
I've got 2 babies of my own
One's 36, one's 23
Huh, it's hard to believe

But you're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this
You're gonna miss this
Yeah, you're gonna miss this

The other song that came on right after was this Rascal Flatts song, that was amazing. Seriously I love Rascal Flatts, but had never heard this song before and it pretty much sums up how I feel about Chad and Lily and Ella and Lincoln, and so many other people in my life who I love so much. If you get a sec, listen to it because it's just soooo good.

It's like a storm
That cuts a path
It breaks your will
It feels like that
You think you're lost
But you're not lost on your own,
You're not alone

I will stand by you,
I will help you through
When you've done all you can do
and you can't cope
I will dry your eyes,
I will fight your fight
I will hold you tight
and I won't let go

It hurts my heart to see you cry
I know its dark this part of life
Oh it find us all and we're to small
to stop the rain
Oh but when it rains

I will stand by you,
I will help you through
When you've done all you can do
and you can't cope
I will dry your eyes,
I will fight your fight
I will hold you tight
and I won't let you fall

Don't be afraid to fall
I'm right here to catch you
I won't let you down
It won't get you down
You're gonna make it
I know you can make it

Cause I will stand by you,
I will help you through
When you've done all you can do
and you can't cope
I will dry your eyes,
I will fight your fight
I will hold you tight
and I won't let go

Oh I'm gonna hold you
and I won't let go
Won't let you go
No I won't
