Another Girly Night

So on Thursday some friends got together for dinner, lots of talking, then gelato and more talking. Sorry I took this picture just as we were leaving after some people had already left but thanks everyone who came, it was so much fun. P.S. The gelato was HEAVENLY!

Posing on the beautiful hotel grounds.
K so this night was forever ago, but I'm just now getting around to writing about it. A bunch of us ladies went out for a night on the town. After dinner and treats we went in the hot tub, did spa pedicures and attempted to play games but just ended up talking. So much fun, these little nights really replenish the fun side of me and I think make me all the more excited to go back to my family.

Tagged

So the Tagging thing is going around again and even though I've done it before, it's kind of fun so thanks Sommer.
The rules:Player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves, At the end of the post, player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blog and posts a comment letting them know they've been tagged and asking them to read our blog for the rules.

1. I love to SLEEP, Chad can definately testify of this, whether in the morning at night or even daytime naps, put me in my bed and I'm out!
2. I really am not crafty, I do try to hide this fact by doing lots of craft things, but when it really comes down to it I don't have an original creative thought, so I see other stuff and copy it. AHHhh I said it, and I hate when people do this and sell it!! Now I don't sell anything I see, and the tutus were actually my mom's creativity but there, I confess, I'm not crafty.
3. This isn't really a fact about myself, but I hate stealers! Ok seriously why would someone steal something? I'm thinking about this because somone stole our biggest pumpkin right off of our front porch! The nerve, I mean come on pumpkins are not expensive, anyway I don't like people who steal (Now I'm thinking this might be hypocritical considering I just said I steal ideas I see, but I'm talking about the physical taking of stuff here)
4. I love Musicals! I think most of you might have already known that but it is a fact about me and coming up with six of these is harder than you think.
5. A good book, is there anything better? Okay I know there is but it is highly ranked in my mind. I don't know where it started, maybe when my grandparents signed me up for one of those book clubs where you get a new book sent to you each month, or maybe my mom who reads so many interesting books and makes me want to read them just by telling me about them. That's probably why I majored in English Teaching for Secondary Ed.
6. I REALLY want to be a missionary when I grow up. I love being a mom and this part of my life is such an adventure, but I can't wait till all the kids are grown and Chad and I can just travel and preach the gospel.
Okay now Janei'a, Ange, Kristi, Katie, Ashley, and Miranda are tagged!

Princess Party

Lily was invited to our neighbor's little girl's princess party a couple of weeks ago. It was her first big girl party and since she doesn't own a disney princess dress, I got to put her in this dress that a lady (who I met at a boutique and she traded me for a tutu) made for her. I was so excited to see the dress on her that I took quite a few pictures, but as you can see Lily spent most of the party hanging on the trampoline, and playing with balloons, so she had a ball.

Climing Tricks

So last week Lily and I made one of our almost daily treks to the neighborhood park where she showed me one of her new, very scary (for me), dangerous skills, CLIMING! It began at home a few weeks ago when I walk out of the room one minute, come back the next and she is standing on our kitchen table, or on top of her high chair, etc. Well now she is using these skills and testing them in new situations. As a mom it's really hard to let her learn new things and see where her limits are, all while standing very close by and watching. I guess I'm learning that with every new stage of independence I still have to keep a close eye on my growing girl.
