It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Okay so besides Christmas, of course I am loving this sneak peek of Spring! Today Lily and I were outside for about 2 hours walking, playing and weeding a bit. And I had 4 of these beauties above last week and am already craving some more. That's right, easter candy is in the stores and my most favorite treat of all, Cadbury Cream Eggs are here! I know this is a silly post, but nothing much new here so go get some of these and enjoy the yumminess! And another thing to celebrate, as I was remided by Angi, I am now down to the double digits for pregnant days left. Wahoo!

Queen Tasha

I know all you moms out there are probably already familiar with The Backyardigans, but can I just say, and I'm not ashamed to admit, that I really like this show which is hard to say about most toddler shows out there. But ever since Lily really started watching a whole show of anything about 6 months ago, if it has songs, dancing and animals it is a hit! So anyway, there is a character on the show named Tasha (a yellow hippo to be exact) and she's kind of a bossy little girl and usually ends up being the princess, or queen, or mermaid, or any other main little girl pretend character, so of course she also happens to be Lily's favorite! Anyway, lately Lily has been doing this really funny deep bow when she finishes any sort of performance, and then started calling me and wanting me to call her in return either "princess girl" or "Queen Tasha". K this doesn't go along with the Backyardigans, but she also has been calling me "child" lately as in, she'll say "Come here child" when she wants me to come see something or to sit by her, it cracks me up because I never call her "Child". K so the video above is one of Lily's new favorite goodnight songs, and even though I pretty much make up all the words when I sing it except the "Hush little mermaid" part, she loves it and I think it is so cute! SO enjoy!

So Lily is obsessed with Snowmen and looks for them every time we get into the car. So for FHE a couple of weeks ago Chad had the awesome idea to make little tiny snowmen and then put them on our back deck for Lily to look at. Well I don't think any of us won a prize, but it sure was fun. My little brother and his friend came over too to get in on the action. Meanwhile Chad made everyone yummy shakes for a treat!

Princess Shoes

We saw these at Old Navy on Friday and Lily said, "I Buy these!" Ever since she got these princess shoes home she hasn't taken them off, except for bed when forced to. I never thought I would let her wear sandals with socks in the winter time, but I've decided when it comes to a girls determination to be a princess, PICK YOUR BATTLES!

So Excited!

Let's make a deal? No snowballs in the face!
Best Buds
We went over to a friend's house to play in the snow, and it was FREEZING like seriously 22 degrees, but the kids had a blast as the moms sat up on the porch freezing our booties off! It was quite a funny show though to watch these two just enjoying all the fresh white stuff.

So after being so couped up this Winter Lily and I have started venturing out to new (indoor) places that appeal to a toddler. One of them is the Living Planet Aquarium which we actually got a year pass to because it was only $15.00 (Lily is still free) and they have a story time everyday at noon right in front of the tropical fish tank. Now if Nemo wasn't one of Lily's favorite animals ever, she also loves this place because it is filled with octupus, jellyfish, tiny fish, sharks, and Dori too! And I love it because we have a pass and have been there a few times she can just run around and I don't feel like we have to look at every single thing every time. The other Jump on it, where Lily is also free, and can jump to her heart's content. We went there as a family a couple of Saturdays ago and Lily just kept asking, "Again?" and "One more time".

Raindrops on Roses (Favorite Things from Sound of Music), Love one another, Love is spoken here, I am a child of God, Twinkle Twinkle little star, Baby Mine, Rock a bye baby on the treetop, Somewhere over the rainbow, Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.
