Easter

So this year Easter meant a lot more to Lily. She kept telling me for weeks that the easter bunny was going to bring her lots of prizes and treats, so when it really happened she was thrilled. She loved the Easter Egg Hunt at the park and thought the pig pinata was sooo cute!
She was very happy with her loot!
Last year she picked up about 2 eggs and was content to play with those, but this year she kept going until she got all 12 eggs!

Lily with her friend Ollie looking through their eggs after the hunt.

What's with the cheesy smile? But I LOVE it!

Then we had a little mini hunt in our basement for more eggs that the bunny left for her.

After waking up that morning, the first thing she found in her basket was a chocolate bunny sucker, which she opened herself and just started going to town with it! Chocolate for Breakfast, only on Easter!

And very proudly holding up her tiny ponies that she got. I think I've mentioned this before, but anything tiny, pink, and cute Lily is all about it. She saw these at Target the week before and carried them around the whole time. While I usually distract her at the checkout and put her finds back, this time I snuck it into our bag and was so glad I did because I think this might have been her most favorite thing in her basket. But in true Lily fashion, not long after opening it she had found them a mommy pony and distributed some yogos for them to eat. At church Lily was still getting over a cough/cold so I opted to not expose the other kids in Nursery. She went to primary with me which lasted about 10 minutes, and then we went home because my team teacher was doing the lesson and Lily and I both enjoyed a great Easter nap! Chad shared his lesson for the deacon boys about the atonement later so I was able to enjoy that reminder of how blessed we truly are! Overall a great Easter for us here and can't wait to put another baby in bunny ears next year!

February Catch Up

Looking at her Valentine cards

Our little cat

Father/Daughter Tea party, Chad set this up complete with tea snacks and warm water with honey and milk.

Bag Lady, Lily loves her purses all 15 of them! And sometimes can't decide which one to take with her.
Feeding her baby
And then of course comes the burp!
Mermaid hair, she was very proud of this!
Once there was a snowman that Lily and Dad built in the front yard. I think he looks like he's a little ticked off and yelling at the neighborhood kids, but he definately has character.
K so sorry fot the huge amount of pictures by my computer wasn't letting me edit them forever but now it's working, so I had to catch us up to speed since I'm trying to use this as a family scrapbook sort of. Anyway we had lots of fun and love in February and I know I'm not in any of the pictures but I'm the designated photographer, and maybe also a little deliberate. But everyone keeps asking for a prego pregnant picture of me so I'll work on it.

Grandma Love

As a parent now I realize even more what a huge role grandparents have in our kids lives. This package came a couple of weeks ago for Lily's birthday from her Grandma Martin and she couldn't have been happier with a flower headband, purse filled with money, balloons and a streamer. So thanks again Grandma!

AHHHHHHHHHHHH another tag!

Since this one is from Katie who I love, (I love all of you other taggers too), I thought I would just answer the ones I want to:

I enjoy: My sweet Lily girl (her giggle, her "Mom, I wuv you, I wuv you, I wuv you", the way she still wants me to hold her all the time, how she is always pretending to be a princess, or a mermaid or both, when I ask her what she's doing sometimes she says, "Just hangin' out", and her sweet little voice that sings to me all day long), my amazing husband Chad (how he still calls me babe, how he sends me funny emails, his touch, his yummy milkshakes that i crave way too much being prego, his way of teaching Lily and I new things all the time, how hard he works, his romantic spirit), THE SUN, walks to the park, good music, chocolate, great books, big tubs, best friends, almost everything about babies, playing bunco, having a clean house especially the kitchen, so much more!

That's about all I can do, I just can't think of anything else worth writing about me.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Okay so besides Christmas, of course I am loving this sneak peek of Spring! Today Lily and I were outside for about 2 hours walking, playing and weeding a bit. And I had 4 of these beauties above last week and am already craving some more. That's right, easter candy is in the stores and my most favorite treat of all, Cadbury Cream Eggs are here! I know this is a silly post, but nothing much new here so go get some of these and enjoy the yumminess! And another thing to celebrate, as I was remided by Angi, I am now down to the double digits for pregnant days left. Wahoo!

Queen Tasha

I know all you moms out there are probably already familiar with The Backyardigans, but can I just say, and I'm not ashamed to admit, that I really like this show which is hard to say about most toddler shows out there. But ever since Lily really started watching a whole show of anything about 6 months ago, if it has songs, dancing and animals it is a hit! So anyway, there is a character on the show named Tasha (a yellow hippo to be exact) and she's kind of a bossy little girl and usually ends up being the princess, or queen, or mermaid, or any other main little girl pretend character, so of course she also happens to be Lily's favorite! Anyway, lately Lily has been doing this really funny deep bow when she finishes any sort of performance, and then started calling me and wanting me to call her in return either "princess girl" or "Queen Tasha". K this doesn't go along with the Backyardigans, but she also has been calling me "child" lately as in, she'll say "Come here child" when she wants me to come see something or to sit by her, it cracks me up because I never call her "Child". K so the video above is one of Lily's new favorite goodnight songs, and even though I pretty much make up all the words when I sing it except the "Hush little mermaid" part, she loves it and I think it is so cute! SO enjoy!
