Girls Trip
Wow! Just got home last night from the trip of seven silly sassy spastic super sweet sunburned stuffed shopping sisters in St. George! K we thought of a lot more s words but I can't remember them right now. Anyway, it was just way too much fun, thanks to Summer, Heather, Lisa, Kristen, Stephanie, and Darla. We got there Thursday night, got groceries, ate treats and watched a movie. Friday we slept in, some of us went running (not me), then some played tennis (I was a great student of the Summer Whalen Tennis School, and when I say played I was lucky to just return the ball, boundaries did not matter), ate some yummy sandwiches at Jimmy Johns, went into a cute little shop called Urban Renewal, then got dolled up and headed to Vegas. Once there we shopped at the outlets (I found my only purchase there, a pack of princess underwear for Lily), then ate at The Cheesecake Factory, and had some SS walking through the casinos (ask me about these next time I see you), then we caught a gorgeous couple of water shows at the Bellagio and then drove back to St. George that night. Saturday we also slept in, and then layed out and swam for about 6 hours in the 75 degree weather (well some of us were out there more than others), but almost all got severely burned but LOVED every second of it! Then Summer, Lisa, Steph and I played some more tennis and then Steph did some circuits and turbo with us. Let's just say I can hardly move today without being sore since I haven't really worked out in a few years. That night we went to Texas Road House to feast on some delicious rolls, ribs and cheese fries, and afterward some of us even got some Golden Spoon Yogurt for later. After a few games including Scattergories and Family Feud, some watched another movie and some were pooped and went to bed. Sunday we went to sacrament meeting in our coordinating black and white outfits (well almost, Kristen added a splash of color to our ensemble) and then some of us went to eat lunch at Bear Paw Cafe and some went to the rest of church. When we got home, we saw the storm clouds appearing and thought we'd better get a move on and after 3.5 hours we returned to a snowy, cold home. It was so good to be home but I would be lying if I didn't say I'm already looking foreward to the next one:) Thanks to Chad for taking care of everything and knowing how much I needed to have a break, and my friend Kelly who watched Lily on Friday while Chad was at work. And don't worry great pictures are to come, but I didn't have room for my camera so I am just waiting to get everyone else's pictures.

Easter
So this year Easter meant a lot more to Lily. She kept telling me for weeks that the easter bunny was going to bring her lots of prizes and treats, so when it really happened she was thrilled. She loved the Easter Egg Hunt at the park and thought the pig pinata was sooo cute!
She was very happy with her loot!
Last year she picked up about 2 eggs and was content to play with those, but this year she kept going until she got all 12 eggs!

Lily with her friend Ollie looking through their eggs after the hunt.
What's with the cheesy smile? But I LOVE it!
Then we had a little mini hunt in our basement for more eggs that the bunny left for her.
After waking up that morning, the first thing she found in her basket was a chocolate bunny sucker, which she opened herself and just started going to town with it! Chocolate for Breakfast, only on Easter!
And very proudly holding up her tiny ponies that she got. I think I've mentioned this before, but anything tiny, pink, and cute Lily is all about it. She saw these at Target the week before and carried them around the whole time. While I usually distract her at the checkout and put her finds back, this time I snuck it into our bag and was so glad I did because I think this might have been her most favorite thing in her basket. But in true Lily fashion, not long after opening it she had found them a mommy pony and distributed some yogos for them to eat. At church Lily was still getting over a cough/cold so I opted to not expose the other kids in Nursery. She went to primary with me which lasted about 10 minutes, and then we went home because my team teacher was doing the lesson and Lily and I both enjoyed a great Easter nap! Chad shared his lesson for the deacon boys about the atonement later so I was able to enjoy that reminder of how blessed we truly are! Overall a great Easter for us here and can't wait to put another baby in bunny ears next year!

February Catch Up
Looking at her Valentine cards
Playing in the backyard on a sunny day
Dad built a sliding hill for Lily
Lily helped Dad make his mom's famous apple pie
Washing the apples
Hello?
The finished product
Our little cat

Father/Daughter Tea party, Chad set this up complete with tea snacks and warm water with honey and milk.
Bag Lady, Lily loves her purses all 15 of them! And sometimes can't decide which one to take with her.
Feeding her baby
And then of course comes the burp!
Mermaid hair, she was very proud of this!
Once there was a snowman that Lily and Dad built in the front yard. I think he looks like he's a little ticked off and yelling at the neighborhood kids, but he definately has character.
