One month old

I really can't believe already a month has gone by since Ella was born, she has changed so much and so has daily life, but I feel like a finding a new normal. She now weighs in at 11 lbs. and is 22 inches long, definately my girl at 95th percentiles for both height and weight. She is just starting to smile reallt big at us but I've yet to capture it on film really well. I love all her cute faces and how I will turn to do something and come back a second later to find her totally asleep. Ahh the newborn phase, it does have it's perks. She is sleeping at night pretty well, just wakes up to eat then goes right back to sleep, and is pretty calm during the day. Lily is loving the life out of her, literally, and we have to watch really carefully how much "love" she gives Ella. What a joy this new pretty girl is to our family, we can't wait to see what comes next.

Our Princess Girl

We just got this little mirror set up in Lily's room for a little vanity, we are adding a shelf underneath and I'm going to paint a little frame around the mirror. Anyway, ever since it's gone up I will hear Lily talking to herself in her room and go to find this, her putting on every piece of jewelry she owns and then talking to herself and making faces in the mirror. She is so funny about all the girly princess stuff, but I love her for it!

Sisters

Lily loves to have Ella right by her at all times and when she's out of sight, Lily is always asking "where's baby Ella?"

Summer Friends

So lately Lily has really started to want to play outside in our neighborhood more, and luckily there are some really cute little girls for her to play with. And what do you do when you don't have a pool and it's freakin' hot outside? You fill bowls up with hose water and splash around in them for a while. I love Summer time!

So Sad

So I took Ella in for a little cold and congestion she's had and the doctor told me she had a double ear infection! I am freaked out to say the least, because Lily never had one and Ella is so little, it just hurts my heart to see her sick. She has actually been really good though, not too fussy and so if I wouldn't have taken her in I might not of known about her ears. So that's what we are doing this week, but we have loved going to the pool a couple of times, or should I say Lily loved the water while I watched her, but it's been good to get out a bit more for Lily's sake, she's a bit bored with playing at home and hanging out with me while I nurse Ella.

Ella's 2 week pictures

So my amazing and talented friend Angi took some newborn pictures of Ella, and I Love, love, love them!!!! With Lily we only had a few new baby pictures because we didn't really have a good camera, and I always hated that. So now I have these and I can't wait to blow them up and plaster my walls with them, thanks again Angi, you are the best!

My little helper

So Lily is coming back from AZ tonight and I am really getting excited to have my little helper coming back. It has been extremely nice to have this time just to get back to normal and to just bond with Ella, and Lily had so much fun I don't even think she missed us that much. Let's just say I am already looking forward to next summer's trip to Grandma's house and by then they can take both girls, oh what fun!
