Bunny Friend

When my grandma was in town in August staying with us she spoiled my girls at a toy store and this was one of the things Ella got. And she totally loves it! SHe will stare and play with this thing for at least 15 minutes before she is bored. And I think it's the only toy that is officially Ella's, since Lily lays claim to all toys that she ever used.

Ahhh the joy of potty training

I have to say that so far potty training has been not as horrible as I thought it could be, but still there are days when after changing Lily's 5th outfit because of an accident I am ready for the "training" part to be done with. Most days when we are at home I don't even put anything on top of her panties because she still needs help to take them off when I do. But I do think she feels very "big girl"ish because she doesn't wear diapers like her baby sister. One of the cutest things I have to share, is a while ago I told Lily I was so proud of her after she went on the potty, and now EVERY time after she goes to the bathroom, she looks at me with a BIG SMILE on her face and says, "MOM, are you soooo proud of me?" And I truly am.

Such Cuteness

I know I already have lots of similar pictures like these, but I just can not help but LOVE any of these two together and showing just how much they adore each other.

Lily's room

So over the past few months I have tried to finish off Lily's room and with Ella keeping me busy we still have more projects to finish, but here are some more things we've done.

We got this cute purse rack for Lily because her collection was getting a bit big and I was a bit tired of picking them up off of the floor daily.

Then my aunt (the most talented and creative lady besides my mom) made these cute tissue paper flowers and I decided to hang them in the girls rooms. Lily has blue ones and Ella has green ones. They are really easy to if any one wants to make some.
A green and pink tutu per Lily's request for her little "lady" as she calls her
And my mom made her hot pink curtain and dust ruffle with little pink/orange beads on them.

Flashback to the '80's

So Lily lately has been wanting some new dress ups so I got out all my old clothes that my mom had saved and she loves them. Just notice the beautiful puffy sleeves, collars, and ruffles. Two of these were flower girl dresses from weddings I was in, and lastly my always loved "silky nightgown". It is kind of fun to see Lily enjoying these out of style dresses (just around the house though).

Beautiful FLOWERs?

One thing I love about kids, is there ability to see things truly as they are. On one of our walks the other day Lily spotted these weeds and begged me to let her bring them home so she could put them in her room. And I have to admit they are lovely little things that brighten my day to see them.

One Toe

So I thought this picture accurately described my life right now. As in, I have a LOT of good intentions, started projects and plans, but when it comes down to it, all I get done is ONE toe or a fraction of what I need to, and yes she had this one toe painted for about three weeks now and I still haven't done the rest!

Washin' the car

This is Lily with her neighbor friend Emma, and these two are Best Enemies, meaning depending on the day or minute they go from Best Friends to Worst Enemies. They do have fun when they get together and love to play all things barbie, doll, and princess dress-up, but they are also BOTH Feisty and definatley like to get their own way.
PLaying in the wash bucket

Sharing the towel, so sweet!
Then some playful pushing each other.

They really went to work and that one spot was REALLY CLEAN

It is so fun to watch your kids get older, see their personalities emerge more and create friendships with people other than you.
