Halloween Night (For Real)

Lily admiring her friend Cade's costume

The girlies holding hands, excited for treats!

Spiderman (Ethan), Lily (Princess), Kylee (Cute Witch)
So all week Lily kept asking me "mom is it tonight", when she could go trick-or-treating. And finally it came. I took Lily over to meet up with her friend Kylee and we went around her neighborhood which was awesome because the houses are close together so she got a TON of candy after not having to walk very far. The funniest thing was every time we would tell the girls to say trick or treat and thank you, they usually ended up just holding up their candy buckets and then at the end saying trick or treat for more candy. It was pretty funny. They were too short to reach the doorbells and their knocks too light to be heard so Lily started to stand on the top step holding onto the doorknob to reach the bell. It worked most of the time but once she accidentally opened the door and the people were like "oh hello", whoops. The last stop we made on our way home was to a lady I visit teach who also used to do singing time in nursery with Lily and Lily loves her. Well, after we left and I got Lily in the car, I reached down to get the car key (which was alone because it broke off the key ring) and it was gone, fallen out of my pocket. I didn't panic but realized it had to be somewhere between the car and Sister Chalmers' house so I asked her if I could borrow a flighlight and started searching the sidewalk and her very leafy lawn. After about 30 minutes and lots of cute kids and adults that stopped to help I found it under my seat in the car and we got home safe and sound. After a few pieces of candy, (I tried to swipe some and Lily seeing me said "Oh no no no, mom") the girls were in bed at 8 and we turned off our lights so the door wouldn't keep waking them up. Then Chad and I settled in for a show and had a quiet night together. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Excersaucer

Finally I pulled off a compare/contrast picture with both girls. The top two are Lily, bottom two are Ella. There are like 3 or 4 months of age difference (Lily is older) but I love seeing their similarities and differences already.

Attacked with Kisses

I love this sequence of pictures because it illustrates just how much Lily LOVES her baby sister and Ella just takes it all in with a smile (most of the time)

Daddy playtime

I love that she adores her Daddy, just like Lily she is for sure a Daddy's girl, and while I know they love me too, they have a special smile just for Dad!

Princess Girls (More Dress-up)

Will I ever get a picture of this girl in "normal" clothes again?

Halloween Girls Bunco

Bunco in Octoboer is always memorable because the girls in my group get into the costume thing and we have a ball. Even though I'm not a huge fan of dressing up, because I had to I came up with Gabriella of High school musical (and yes I know she has black hair) and because Ella had to come with me I made her a onesie that said "I'm Troy's baby" but didn't put it on her because I ran out of time. Anyway we had fun and I seriously love these girls and all the good laughs we have together with our craziness!

Lindy had the BEST costume and came as Sara Pallin

Couple's/ bunco party

Chad and I went to a fun couples Halloween bunco party. It was soooo fun and yummy food was had by all! I was again paying tribute to HSM3 and Chad was a cute painter/football player/ person who was run over (we got a different idea from everyone who saw him, but he actually was painting his new work office that day and so came home and smeared it on himself and called it good)

Our hillbilly friends

The awesome Dorothy and Richard Simmons

And the Fruit of the Loom characters

And it'n not letting me delete this picture so here you go!
Final thoughts: Chad doesn't get the big attraction us girls have to bunco, and we won a yummy chocolate treat prize for getting third place!

Halloween Kids Party

My happy little pumpkin snug in her carseat
A bunch of my friends and I got our kids together for a little Halloween Party at the park. Thanks to Lisa, Heather and Summer for a fishing game, pumpkin painting, and cookie decorating. All the other moms brought candy and the kids just went around and got some treats and then played at the park. It was really low-key, which I am realizing is perfect for our baby/toddler/preschool/kindergardener age kids. Lily LOVED painting her pumpkin PINK!

Showing off her goods
Brinlee the Peacock

Lots of Superheros

Trying to get a good group picture of 20+ kids = IMPOSSIBLE, but still worth a try

A cute princess and witch

Playing around the park (notice the girl in green, poor thing was playing with her grandma when we got there, and the only one not a part of the party. So of course we had her join in the festivities, and boy did she ever jump in, having us push her on the swings, helping Lily paint her pumpkin, getting lots of treats, and jumping in all the pictures, it was pretty funny)

Hayleigh the Lobster (This costume of Lisa's has been quite a hit with a bunch of babies, Lily wore this her first Halloween too)

My little Pumpkin Ella, the little hat kept falling in her eyes and it was so funny because she would just lift her head up trying to look out.

Kennedy the bumblebee

Lily and Avery, two princesses

Brynn showing off her no-hands trick!

The awesome Mommas
