The Everyday Beautiful

This video was really just so I could get on tape how funny it is to here my baby say "Oh Crap!" I know how horrible am I, but after maybe possibly hearing this word from her parents Lily picked it up a bit and then after being told not to say it anymore, proceeded to go around telling everyone "I'm not allowed to say Oh Crap". Silly Girl.

The Girlies and I headed to this park one Sunday after some rain and just enjoyed the heck out of ourselves and I took about a BILLION pictures so here you go! (I never remember my camera anymore so I overcompensated with this elaborate photo shoot, AND I wanted to finally experiement with all my different camera settings that I still after 2 years don't really know how to use)

I love these ones because notice Ella has a flower and as soon as sister spots it, GOODBYE, you can see Lily's hand just taking it away, such is the life of a younger sibling.

Showing me all the rocks she was finding (and trying to eat)!

PURE JOY!

The eyes kill me!
Multiple children = no perfect picture

Loving her two tiny teeth!

Miss Sassy Face

Lily wanted me to take a ton of pictures of her swinging and I'm so glad I did, because she is sooo HAPPY!

Up close and personal with the ducks

When we arrived at the park I found that two little "ducks" had been nibbling the old bread (luckily not moldy) in the car on the way there.

A rare site here: A deserted playground
My Flower Girl
I took a ton of shots of the flowers for a project for Lily's room.

I love this picture because she is sprinting to check out all of these flowers.
Poor kite stuck up in a tree

These pictures are JUST SO HER!

THE END!

Videos

So when Ella reached the milestone of having her crib mattress moved to the lowest level because she was starting to stand up and lean over, I took the opportunity to showcase her sweet jumping in bed skills and her mad fast crawling skills, or I tried at least.

Girls Nights

Lisa, Stephanie, Me, Lindy, Meggan, Janei'a
Ahhh, I love girls nights. They are so fun and bring back a side of me that is sometimes not seen in the everyday mommyworld. Sheryl, one of my BFFs from BYU came down in April for her spring break and got to stay with us for a few days. And one night we had a little Foxy 204 reunion (minus Miranda and Kimmie). Another night we went with some Bunco girls to see Bride Wars at the dollar theater. Oh- FUNNY! I seriously laughed quite a bit at all the antics girls can do to each other. Anyway YAY for Girls nights, and hopefully many more! (HINT- anyone up for another movie night? To see Lisa's Boyfriend?

Favorite Lily Quote of the Week

When trying to get her to eat her Broccoli, she responded, "Mom, I like it, I want to eat it, I just don't like the name of it!"

Happy Mother's Day

This is just a silly picture of our first sunburn of the year, YAY! But I think I've realized this Mother's Day how much it really isn't for mothers. Well, it is, and it's great to get a day-off from cooking and the opportunity to sleep in or take a nap (believe me, you have no idea how wonderful that is!), but let me explain. I think that while the rest of the world knows about us and loves us, they really remember on Mother's Day and devote talks about us in church, and crafts for us in school. But we already know we ROCK, right? We see it everyday as we are watching our children grow and learn, in every song we sing, and story we tell, and "present" our three year old brings us, and the chubby baby hand on our face that is covered with sticky goo. We KNOW we are doing the work that we are supposed to be doing and we get small rewards everyday for it. But I think Mother's Day is a good reminder for all the other people in our life- to just remember and to realize just how awesome a work it really is. I hope this makes sense, I'm not trying to promote my greatness or anything like that, but I really feel blessed that I am a Mother to these beautiful girls and I try to live everyday to deserve all their love and the blessings that come with this adventure.

Lily's words:
What is a mother's job? "To clean the dish, and the washer, and drink water, and clean the whole house, and clean up my room with me, and play games with me, and make watermelon, and read a book, and make right choices, and clean with the vacuum."
