So Sad

So I took Ella in for a little cold and congestion she's had and the doctor told me she had a double ear infection! I am freaked out to say the least, because Lily never had one and Ella is so little, it just hurts my heart to see her sick. She has actually been really good though, not too fussy and so if I wouldn't have taken her in I might not of known about her ears. So that's what we are doing this week, but we have loved going to the pool a couple of times, or should I say Lily loved the water while I watched her, but it's been good to get out a bit more for Lily's sake, she's a bit bored with playing at home and hanging out with me while I nurse Ella.

Ella's 2 week pictures

So my amazing and talented friend Angi took some newborn pictures of Ella, and I Love, love, love them!!!! With Lily we only had a few new baby pictures because we didn't really have a good camera, and I always hated that. So now I have these and I can't wait to blow them up and plaster my walls with them, thanks again Angi, you are the best!

My little helper

So Lily is coming back from AZ tonight and I am really getting excited to have my little helper coming back. It has been extremely nice to have this time just to get back to normal and to just bond with Ella, and Lily had so much fun I don't even think she missed us that much. Let's just say I am already looking forward to next summer's trip to Grandma's house and by then they can take both girls, oh what fun!

Update

So we are alive and doing great, I definately have some fun stuff taking up all my old blogging time, like sleeping, trying to give Lily one on one time, and gazing at the new baby girl. Sorry, not much else to say, but Lily is heading for AZ next week and so more pictures when I have a minute - all I can say is Whoa! a bit of an adjustment this first week has been and all you moms of 2+ a shout out to you.

Here she is!

Ella Rose Martin was born Thursday, May 29th, at 7:18 AM, weighing 9 lbs. and is 20 inches long. After looking at Lily's scrapbook, Ella is identical to her in every way but has dark hair, where Lily had none. We even stayed in the exact same hospital room as when we had Lily, but so far my recovery has been 100% easier. I just got home today and uploaded like over 100 pictures from the hospital, and as soon as I have a minute to edit them I will do a MAJOR post, but here's a sneak peak at our beautiful Ella Rose! (my favorites are of Lily and her baby sister)

Goodbye baby bump!

So after my appointment this morning my doc and I decided tomorrow is as good as any day, so I am officially doing it tomorrow! I am still in shock kind of, and I have a million little things left to do but I don't think I will ever feel completely ready. Chad laughs at me because I act like the world is coming to an end, but in a way life as I now know it sort of is, and it's exciting and scary, but mostly I will just miss my days with miss Lily being my only one. Lately she has gotten into the habit of climbing up onto her dresser when she wakes up in the morning and getting all her rings, bracelets, necklaces, and hair clips on before announcing to us that she is awake! And I can only convince her to take half of it off before we leave the house, so she has been looking very fancy lately. She has been talking about the baby a lot lately, how she is going to hold her and kiss her and hug her, so I think she does get it, and even though it will still be a drastic change to her little world I am so excited for her to meet her sister. I never had a sister so I think I am especially happy that Lily will have this close friend for life. Anyway, if you can't tell the pic above is of my view looking down, and I have to say it will be nice to see my feet again and be able to bend over without feeling a little seasick. So anyway tomorrow morning at 7:15 we are having our girl, and I'm sure Chad will post pictures as soon as he can.

No News!

So at my 38 week appt. today my doctor said, and I quote "the baby is way up there in Ogden!" and I am not thinning or dialated at all. Zero, zippo! All this extra walking hasn't done the trick so far, but I'm not giving up. I hate to admit that the less promising I look the more enticing my scheduled c-section next week is looking because my doctor reminded me today that he won't induce me because of the previous section, and if I do go into labor they will give me less time than before to get progressing before they would do a section just because it's too risky. Either way I am just happy to know that I won't be pregnant too much longer, and this is so weird to say but I want to have the baby so I can sleep again. I know it's usually the opposite but I am so uncomfortable at night and have to go to the bathroom every couple of hours I feel like I am on a new baby schedule almost. That said, I'm excited for the surprises the next few weeks hold in store for our family.
