PG Library Storytime
We decided to venture out and try something new by going to the PG Library's storytime on Tuesday nights. It was fun to try something new while Chad is working in the evenings, so I got the girls all fed, bathed, and jammied and we went drove up the road a bit.
We got there a bit early so my girls played with this awesome activity box for a solid 15 minutes, seriously I want Chad to build me one of these it was cool!
The story room is so cute with the walls painted in murals of different fairy tale scenes.

That night the theme was pancakes, so all the stories were about pancakes of some sort, and then they made all the kids eggo waffles for a snack!

Fancy Tea Birthday Party
Lily's friend Rachel Miller was turning 5 and for her party they had a "Fancy Tea Party". Lil was stoked to dress-up and get all gussied up! So of course we had a photo shoot.
Ella wanted to dress up too, I guess a tooth brush says "Fancy" for her.
I had Lily help me design some little flower embellishments for a shirt we got the birthday girl.

Shirt Updates
So lately in way of trying to save $ on clothes for my girls I have taken to sewing little details on their shirts to cover up stains or holes. You should try it, cuz if I can anyone can! A couple of samples that I actually got a picture of:

The Hair Cutting Incident (Feb)
So one day I got back from an exercise boot camp at 7:05 AM and walked into Lily's room to find this! Yeah, hair everywhere, she had decided to get scissors out of my bathroom and give herself a haircut. She pretty much gave herself an amazing she-mullet straight out of 1980! And as much as I was awed by what she calls her "cutting skillz" I was so mad I also wanted to cry because my baby's beautiful untouched since her birth long hair was GONE! After she and I cried together because she realized that (shock) no princesses she likes have short hair, we decided to document this huge event in her life. I started to nice up to her after remembering my own bang cutting incident when I was 5 and gave myself a "spike" of bangs up front.

She was SO much happier a couple of days later when my beautiful, kind and talented friend Summer agreed to fix it up.

And after a little blow out when we got home later, I actually started to think it was kind of cute? I love her, and now I'm loving her cute little hair, and she pinky promised me NEVER to do that EVER again!

Birthday gift from New Hampshire Harmons
After my cousin Roxanne got back from Winter break with her family she brought Lily this sweet birthday gift of a little hippo family that performs at the talent show with dance, violin, and tamborine! So much fun we had playing with it in the rainy February weather!

Quick Fix
A dress I made for Lily last year was getting a bit short (no surprise) so I added a quick ruffle of tulle and now she can wear it for a bit longer, anything to make the clothes last right?
