Focused Effort
So I don't know when our survival instincts start to kick in but I never thought as early as 18 months. One day when we were at the park Lily just started to get down to the serious business of picking up and gathering all the sticks she could find. It cracked me up so I had to take some pictures.

when jackie was lily's age, i spent most of stake conference out on the grass with her at the tabernacle doing just this. i think we found every stick in that courtyard. i love the simplicity of childhood, and the calm that comes from moments like these. i wish i could blog as well as you . . . i don't take enough pictures.
