A few weeks ago we hung out with some friends and had a hot dog roast. The kids had a ball playing and jumping on the tramp and it was great to visit with good friends. After some yummy Costco hot dogs and delicious sides, the sun went down and it started to cool down so we gathered around the heat of the fire and roasted marshmallows for s'mores. After this night I really felt FALL, now WINTER in the air.
For Lily's 2nd play ever we went to go see Stellaluna at the Scera Theater. It was done with these giant puppets that the actors held while they moved around the stage and theater. I think Lily loved it because she didn't move or talk at all once it started, and I loved the night to just spend with her. Afterwards she chose to go get ice cream at McDonalds, what a fun Mommy Daughter date!
We caught these little cuties at one of our favorite parks. Lily was cracking me up the whole time saying, "Come here little ducklings, I'm not gonna hurt you, I just want to catch you and take you home to my house." She really couldn't for the life of her understand why they wouldn't just let her catch them.
Chad's mom is a FAMOUS Pie Maker, so while she was here for her visit in October she wanted Lily to help her from start to finish create some yummy pies. Lily had a ball, picking out the fruit at a local stand, then washing, cutting, mixing, rolling, and stirring!
She was so proud of the finished products! And we all enjoyed the strawberry, peach, apple and pecan pies of goodness! I know she will always remember spending time baking with Grandma Martin, because even more than a month later she still talks about it.
Warning: So while we were waiting for the movie to start (we had quite a while cuz we had to go early for good seats) Kelly and I got a bit goofy taking silly pictures that were Twilight themed. Our heart symbolizing Bella and Edward/Jacob (whoever you're voting for)
